Jakmania Meets Heru at City Hall to Discuss JIS Optimization

Jakarta Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono received Jakmania representatives at City Hall, Friday (7/7).

Let's support them together

The meeting included discussing optimizing the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) to become Persija's home ground.

Jakmania Chairman, Diky Soemarno said Jakmania asked for Heru's blessing and support, thus Persija could have a better next season. Aside that, JIS can become a venue for many matches that will be held in Jakarta in the future.

Governor Dedicates JIS to Jakmania, Jakarta, and Indonesia

"In overall, we talked about JIS as well. What is clear is that the Jakarta Government will push for improvements to things that are deemed lacking, thus everything can be even more comfortable, everything will be carried out by the Jakarta Government," he expressed.

Beside strengthening Jakmania's synergy with the Jakarta Government, the audience also discussed the access of Jakmania and their vehicles to an integrated JIS.

"Actually, it's not a renovation, it's more a refinement, especially access for the benefit of Jakmania. Hopefully, the match can be carried out with not too much effort. To prepare for a safe and comfortable match, when the system is well-made, refined, it will be more usable," he explained.

According to him, Jakarta residents, especially Jakmania, have a culture of bringing private vehicles or buses filled with groups of supporters when they want to watch their proud club compete. Therefore, a qualified parking area is needed.

"Actually, we have Ancol, if the road from Ancol to JIS goes a long way, a bridge will indeed be built directly to the railroad junction. The only solution is from Jakmania. Maybe the Jakarta Government has an even broader policy and how can optimizing the east ramp break down the masses and not focus on one point," he stated.

He assessed, when the system was perfected, mass transportation was good and complete, then the culture would follow by itself, that is, residents would switch modes of transportation from private to public.

"We're more concerned about letting Persija have a house in Jakarta, how can there be a stadium in Jakarta that belongs to the Jakarta Government that we can use. Let's support them together," he closed.
